Senior Business Development Executive - Edison, NJ

Description

Our Business Development Executives are dynamic sales and marketing strategists who know their clients’ businesses inside and out, and proactively bring new thinking through outside perspective and experience. They connect the dots and marshal strategy, resources, and talent to deliver all aspects of the modern customer acquisition process.

Essential Functions

  • Generate new business for HOC with outreach to targeted accounts within the ETRM and wider accounting and compliance space.
  • Responsible for the health and subsequent growth of their accounts.
  • Collaborates with internal partners in central operations to drive customer performance.
  • Manages change and conflict by offering guidance and support.
  • Consults and decides with team for challenging issues.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude to lead meetings with clear agendas, direction and next steps.
  • Uses clear and concise communication; is efficient both verbally and in writing.
  • Consults with senior staff for macro strategy development and continuous improvements.
  • Encourages and supports team members in properly executing deliverables.
  • Manages team training programs and development in conjunction with HR.
  • Serves as the main point of contact and accountability for all portfolio accounts.
  • Researches and develops an understanding of our client’s industry, competition, customer base, and drivers that impact their business.
  • Works with external vendors and parties on behalf of our client partners.
  • Responsible for generating revenue and an acceptable return on deployed capital for your portfolio accounts.
  • A motivated self-starter that is able to work independently and in teams on tasks and projects with limited supervision.
  • Work with the product team to ensure post sale customer satisfaction.
  • Travel within the US on business with occasional travel outside of the U.S required.
  • Work with customers to identify and create innovative business solutions to improve their business processes and increase their profitability.
  • Apply knowledge of HOC’s products  to engage potential clients and generate interest
  • Prepare and deliver high quality presentations, proposals, and documents in collaboration with Solution Engineers

Requirements

  • 4-8 years experience in a sales or marketing leadership position at a fast paced organization or a growing early stage business.
  • Exceptional sales presentation skills.
  • The individual must be computer literate and be able to use Google mail, MS suite.
  • The individual must be able to negotiate at a senior level.
  • The candidate must hold a current US passport and a clean driving license.
  • A technical background though not essential may prove beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA desired
  • Familiarity with Energy Trading & Risk Management applications such as Triple Point, Endur, Allegro, Zainet, Aligne, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business operations, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Ability to analyze data & make strategic decisions to achieve forecasted outcomes
  • Proficiency in HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo and/or other CRM or Marketing systems.
  • Formal sales training is desired but not required.
  • Strong writing skills.
